NxtWave is one of India's fastest-growing EdTech companies, building the next generation of tech talent through industry-relevant programs. We're now looking for a dynamic Head Legal & Compliance to lead our legal, regulatory, and corporate governance functions.
What You'll Do
- Lead the company's legal, compliance, and governance strategy aligned with business goals.
- Manage contract drafting, review, and negotiation for MSAs, NDAs, partnerships, SaaS, and vendor agreements.
- Oversee Company Law & ROC compliance, board meetings, filings, and statutory records.
- Support fundraising through due diligence, SHA/SSA/term sheets, and ensure FEMA & RBI compliance.
- Drive IPO preparedness due diligence, DRHP support, SEBI/Companies Act compliance.
- Develop and implement policies (POSH, Whistleblower, Data Privacy, etc.).
- Manage litigation, dispute resolution, and coordinate with external counsel.
- Oversee IP portfolio trademarks, copyrights, and patents.
- Build and mentor a legal & compliance team and collaborate cross-functionally.
What We're Expecting
- CS + LLB from a reputed institution.
- 9+ years of experience in corporate legal, secretarial, and compliance roles, preferably in startups or high-growth companies.
- Strong knowledge of the Companies Act, SEBI, FEMA, FDI, and contract law.
- Proven experience in fundraising, due diligence, and IPO readiness.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strategic yet hands-on, with high integrity and a proactive compliance mindset.
