About Legal Job Opportunity At IndusInd Bank

Role: Associate Manager (Legal)
Location: Chennai, Tamil Nadu (On-site)
Experience: 2–4 Years in Banking Law or Regulatory Litigation.
Type: Full-time, In-house Legal Role.

Key Responsibilities

This role focuses heavily on Regulatory Compliance and Dispute Resolution. Your primary duty is to act as the legal shield during regulatory scrutiny:

RBI Liaison: Handling complaints escalated through the Integrated Ombudsman Scheme. You will be responsible for drafting responses to the RBI and other statutory bodies.
Internal Coordination: Acting as a central hub between the legal department and branch executives to gather factual feedback on customer complaints.
Legal Drafting: Drafting and finalizing merits-based replies, legal notices, and internal agreements or deeds.
Hearing Attendance: Representing the bank in personal hearings for reopened cases, ensuring the bank's position is defended with proper documentation.
Reporting: Maintaining a data-driven approach by preparing MIS reports (Monthly/Quarterly) for the Head of Legal (Consumer Finance Division).

Eligibility Criteria

Education: LL.B. or LL.M. from a recognized university.
Core Experience: 2–4 years of experience specifically handling RBI complaints, consumer litigation, and banking documentation.
Language: Professional fluency in English and Hindi is mandatory for cross-location coordination.
Legal Knowledge: A deep understanding of the Banking Regulation Act, SARFAESI, and Negotiable Instruments Act.
