Role Description

This is an off-site volunteer role for a Legal Intern, based in Hyderabad. The Legal Intern will assist in legal research, document review, drafting legal documents, and supporting casework related to human trafficking prevention. The role includes attending legal proceedings, assisting in policy advocacy efforts, and supporting the team in ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to help provide resources and assistance to victims may also be part of the responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Strong legal research and analytical skills
• Knowledge of legal drafting, documentation, and compliance
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• An understanding of human rights and social justice issues, particularly related to human trafficking
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
• Proficiency in using legal databases and tools
• Experience in policy advocacy or non-profit legal work is a plus
• Pursuing or completed a degree in Law or a related field
