Key Responsibilities
Privacy & Data Protection:
- Assist in ensuring compliance with global privacy regulations, including GDPR, CCPA, and other data protection laws.
- Support the drafting and review of privacy policies, data processing agreements, and internal data protection procedures.
- Conduct research and internal audit on privacy-related legal developments and best practices in the SaaS industry.
Contract Management
- Assist with drafting, reviewing, and negotiating SaaS agreements, non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), and other legal contracts.
- Collaborate with sales, procurement, and other teams to ensure contract compliance and legal soundness.
- Manage and organize legal documentation, including contract repositories and related files.
Regulatory Compliance
- Research and assist in understanding regulations that impact the SaaS industry, including cybersecurity, e-commerce, and intellectual property laws.
- Work with the legal team to implement compliance programs and provide training to staff on regulatory issues.
Corporate Governance
- Assist with corporate filings, legal entity management, and maintaining corporate records.
- Support due diligence efforts in mergers, acquisitions, and investments as needed.
General Legal Support
- Conduct legal research on various issues impacting the business, including IP law, employment law, and international regulations.
- Assist in the development and implementation of internal legal policies and procedures.
Qualifications & Requirements
- A recent law graduate
- Strong interest in technology, SaaS, and privacy laws.
- Familiarity with GDPR, CCPA, and other data protection regulations is a plus.
- Excellent legal research and writing skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
