Job Description

Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements to protect the company's interests.
Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations relevant to the retail and consumer industry.
Provide legal advice and guidance to internal stakeholders on various business matters.
Manage disputes, litigation, and arbitration processes with external counsel.
Monitor changes in laws and regulations that may impact the business.
Develop and implement legal policies, procedures, and best practices.
Support the business in intellectual property management and brand protection.
Collaborate with other departments to mitigate legal risks and ensure smooth operations.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Head Legal should have:

A degree in Law (LLB or equivalent) from a reputed institution and a CS degree.
Strong knowledge of legal frameworks within the retail and consumer industry.
Proven experience in handling contracts, compliance, and regulatory matters.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to work independently and make sound legal decisions under pressure.
Proficiency in managing disputes and working with external legal counsel.
