JOB DESCRIPTION

Functional Reporting: General Counsel

Title: Legal Counsel

Location: Ahmedabad

We are looking for a seasoned In-house Legal Counsel with strong experience in litigation, dispute resolution, and regulatory laws (IPR, FSSAI, Drugs & Cosmetics Act) to join our legal team in Ahmedabad. Preferred background of Pharma or FMCG.

Role Summary

You will lead end-to-end litigation management and dispute resolution, ensuring legal risk mitigation and safeguarding business interests across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the complete litigation lifecycle – risk assessment, pre-litigation, mediation, and court proceedings
• Handle matters related to IPR, FSSAI, Drugs & Cosmetics Act, Legal Metrology, Labour Laws
• Draft and review legal notices, pleadings, affidavits, and case documents
• Partner with business teams to provide practical legal advisory and risk mitigation strategies
• Coordinate with external counsel and law firms for effective case management
• Track litigation progress, maintain MIS, and update senior leadership
• Manage legal spend and ensure compliance with internal processes

Functional Competencies

• Strong planning & execution with adherence to TAT
• Excellent stakeholder communication & coordination
• Sharp legal analysis, problem-solving & advisory skills
• High ownership, resilience, and ability to work independently

Qualifications

• LLB (5-year) from a reputed institute
• 8–10 years of in-house legal experience in FMCG or Pharma
• Deep expertise in litigation, IPR, FSSAI, and Drug Laws
• Proven experience handling regulatory and dispute matters
