Job Description – Legal Counsel (R&D Legal)

Experience: 2-3 Years

Qualification: LL.B.

Role Purpose

Provide legal support to Biocon's healthcare business, primarily the R&D function by managing research-related contracts, ensuring regulatory compliance, and mitigating legal risks associated with clinical research and CRO collaborations.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for end-to-end handling and closures of contracts, from negotiating, vetting, reviewing, drafting, finalization and sign off of contracts including NDAs, Clinical Trial Agreements (CTAs), Material Transfer Agreements (MTAs), Research Collaboration Agreements, and CRO/service agreements.
• Responsible for legal research and providing legal opinions, strategizing and advising the business team/stakeholders on various issues.
• Review legal risks and ensure compliance with applicable pharmaceutical and clinical research regulations.

Preferred Experience

• 2-3 years of legal experience in a pharmaceutical company, CRO, or life sciences organization.
• Exposure to R&D legal, clinical research contracts, and CRO agreements.
