Company Overview

DNB is Norway's largest financial services group and a leading Nordic bank. Its Singapore Branch, established in 1970, provides tailored investment and corporate banking services for Ocean Industries, Energy, Healthcare & Tech Services divisions across Asia Pacific and globally.

The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities:

• To coordinate and facilitate necessary legal advice from internal and external resources for the commercial activities of the Bank in the Asia Pacific region, with a particular focus on negotiation of transactional documentation on terms satisfactory to the Bank and in accordance with internal policies and procedures.
• Ensure satisfactory documentation and execution thereof for all commercial exposures undertaken by the Bank from acceptance to activation.
• Work in close partnership with Compliance to address corporate and regulatory matters
• Provide timely legal and regulatory support to the Management to facilitate informed decision-making.
• Provide legal advice and assistance to the rest of the Branch as and when required
• Liaise and manage the performance of external legal counsel including local arm of panel firms in APAC.
• Perform legal duties as assigned by Group Legal or required by APAC offices, including advising the Group and local Management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in law
• A strong background in legal practice, experience in banking and financial services will be highly regarded
• Comprehensive knowledge of relevant legal and regulatory frameworks
• Strong drafting, reviewing and negotiating skills
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders and contribute to team success
