Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Content Writer & Manager to lead the firm's legal content output. The role involves creating high-quality articles, insights, court ruling summaries, regulatory updates, and knowledge pieces aligned with Metalegal's thought-leadership standards. The candidate will work closely with partners, practice teams, and the content leadership to drive consistent, accurate, and publication-ready material, ensuring the firm's voice is authoritative, credible, and industry-leading.
Key Responsibilities
- Write high-quality articles such as insights, court ruling summaries, and legal updates across regulatory, tax, commercial, and general legal domains.
- Ensure accuracy, clarity, and legal consistency in all content produced.
- Manage content calendars, internal workflows, and weekly publishing schedules.
- Maintain the firm's content protocol.
Requirements
- Graduate or Postgraduate in Law, English, Journalism, Public Policy, or related fields; strong legal writing background essential.
- 1-4 years of experience in legal writing, research, journalism, or editorial roles.
- Excellent command of written English with strong legal drafting and analysis skills.
- Ability to summarise complex legal rulings into crisp, publication-ready content.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to handle weekly content targets with consistency.
- Proficiency in online research tools, databases, and legal resource platforms.
Preferred Attributes
- Prior experience in legal content creation for firms, journals, or legal media platforms.
- Strong interest in taxation, economic offences, regulatory law, and commercial law topics.
- Capability to work in a deadline-driven environment with minimal supervision.
- Attention to detail, structured thinking, and a high degree of editorial discipline.
- Familiarity with SEO-friendly writing and digital publishing (preferred, not mandatory).
