Legal Compliance Specialist

With 12+ years of experience in the payments industry and offices in Barcelona & Dubai, we are expanding our team and looking for a strong Compliance & Legal professional to join us remotely from India. 

Role Overview 

We are looking for an experienced Compliance & Legal Specialist who can manage regulatory compliance, legal documentation, merchant due diligence, and contract management for our fintech operations. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Handle compliance processes related to PCI-DSS, AML, KYC, and payment regulations 

• Review and verify merchant compliance documentation and onboarding requirements 

• Draft, review, and negotiate legal agreements, contracts, NDAs, merchant agreements, and partnership documents 

• Ensure compliance with regional and international fintech regulations 

• Coordinate with banks, payment partners, and internal teams on compliance matters 

• Monitor regulatory updates and implement required policy changes 

• Conduct risk assessments and support audit processes 

• Work closely with operations and management teams on legal and compliance strategy 

Requirements 

• 3–6+ years of experience in fintech, payments, legal compliance, or financial services 

• Strong understanding of AML/KYC regulations and merchant onboarding compliance 

• Experience in legal drafting, contract review, and commercial agreements 

• Knowledge of payment gateway operations and merchant risk management 

• Excellent communication and analytical skills 

• Ability to work independently in a remote environment 

Nice to Have 

• Experience with EU or Middle East payment regulations 

• Prior experience with payment gateways, acquiring banks, or fintech startups 

• Legal qualification or compliance certifications
