Job Summary:

InBody India is seeking a proactive Legal & Compliance Officer to oversee contracts, statutory compliance, and legal risks while ensuring adherence to regulatory frameworks and supporting business operations with practical legal solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Contract Management & Legal Documentation:

• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of agreements including vendor contracts, distributor agreements, NDAs, service agreements, and employment-related documents.

• Ensure all contracts are compliant with legal standards and aligned with company policies.

• Maintain a centralized repository of contracts and legal documents.

Regulatory & Statutory Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with applicable laws including Companies Act, GST regulations, labor laws, and other relevant statutory requirements.

• Monitor changes in legal and regulatory frameworks and update internal policies accordingly.

• Coordinate with external consultants, auditors, and legal advisors for compliance matters.

Corporate Governance & Risk Management:

• Identify potential legal and compliance risks and recommend mitigation strategies.

• Support the implementation of internal policies, SOPs, and compliance frameworks.

• Ensure adherence to internal governance standards and ethical business practices.

Legal Advisory & Business Support:

• Provide legal support to internal teams including Sales, Marketing, HR, and Operations.

• Assist in structuring commercial deals, tenders, and partnerships from a legal perspective.

• Support dispute resolution and handle basic legal queries from stakeholders.

Compliance Monitoring & Reporting:

• Maintain compliance trackers and ensure timely completion of statutory filings and obligations.

• Prepare periodic compliance reports.

• Conduct internal checks and audits to ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: LLB (mandatory); LLM (a plus)

• Experience: 1–3 years of experience in corporate legal and compliance roles

• Strong knowledge of Indian corporate laws, contract law, and regulatory frameworks

• Experience in drafting and reviewing commercial agreements

• Understanding of GST, labor laws, and corporate compliance requirements

• Excellent analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills

• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities

• High level of integrity, attention to detail, and ownership mindset
