Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Legal Associate role based in Ahmedabad. The Legal Associate will be responsible for drafting and preparing legal documents, conducting in-depth legal research, analyzing case-specific legal issues, and ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks. The role involves advising on risk mitigation, managing legal correspondence, and assisting in resolving property-related legal matters by collaborating with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare title opinion / title certificate reports after conducting comprehensive land records investigation and title searches to verify the legal status of mortgaged land/properties along with ownership chain for the specified years.
• Review and validate system generated Legal Opinion/Title Clear Reports for quality assurance.
• Collaborate with clients, lenders, and other stakeholders to gather necessary documentation and information and provide support on any queries raised by them.
• Help build a legal in-house team for ensuring quality assurance on other reports that are provided to our BFSI clients.
• Stay updated on State specific property laws, land registration procedures, and real estate regulations in Gujarat as well as other States of India.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Law (LL.B.) from a recognized Government University.
• Enrolment with the State or National Bar Council and a valid license to practice law with a valid Digital Signature.
• 1--2 years of experience in land/property law, title searches, legal opinions and title certifications.

Proven experience of working with Banks, NBFCs, and Financial Institutions as an empaneled Lawyer will have a definitive advantage.

• Basic understanding and knowledge of property laws, land registration procedures, and real estate transaction with proficiency in legal research, drafting, and documentation.
• Excellent communication skills with fluency in Gujarati and English, both written and verbal.
