Position Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking Early Career Academic in Accounting and Finance to join the founding academic team at the University of Liverpool's India Campus. As an early career academic, you will be expected to bring academic rigor, a student first mindset, and a bold, future ready approach to teaching and learning excellence at undergraduate and postgraduate level.
Candidates will need to be able to demonstrate teaching excellence in the public or private sector and will have a recognised professional accounting qualification

Key responsibilities and duties:
This role is suited for an early to mid-career academic with a strong foundation in teaching and emerging research potential. The Assistant Professor will play an active role in designing and delivering modules across Finance and Accounting programmes, supporting student learning, and contributing to the academic life of the department. The appointee will also be encouraged to engage in research and scholarly activities aligned with the University's academic goals.
Early Career Academic in Accounting and Finance
Candidates are expected to have significant relevant experience of teaching and leading Accounting, Finance and Economics modules in a Higher Education or a private sector professional setting.
The department seeks excellence in all aspects of student experience. It seeks to recruit individuals with a passion for innovative pedagogies and the capacity to create and deliver new and highly contemporary modules.
Candidates should also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills together with the ability and enthusiasm to enhance student experience. Knowledge of the particular needs of international students would be an advantage. The ability to work with the existing academic team in programme and module management is an important requirement.
