The Role:
We are seeking a Designer who can manage the leather goods category across the full development lifecycle—from initial proto stage to production execution.
This role sits at the intersection of design, development, and execution. You will work closely with international design teams, internal craftsmen, pattern makers, and vendors to ensure that creative intent is translated into technically sound and production-ready products.
You will be responsible not only for design interpretation but also for ensuring feasibility, quality, and timely delivery across multiple development cycles.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
• Creating and managing detailed tech packs with clarity and precision
• Translating design concepts into structured product development inputs
• Collaborating closely with designers, craftsmen, pattern cutters, and vendors
• Evaluating proto and sample stages for construction, measurements, and workmanship
• Communicating technical feedback and driving iterations across stakeholders
• Monitoring sample development timelines and ensuring adherence to criticalpaths
• Anticipating feasibility of design changes within production timelines
• Continuously improving products through innovative materials, techniques, and finishes
• Maintaining awareness of evolving fashion trends, materials, and construction methods
• Supporting cost optimization by aligning product development with FOB targets.
The Profile:
• Relevant experience in leather goods design and development
• Strong understanding of materials, construction techniques, and sample evaluation
• Ability to interpret design intent into production-ready outputs
• Clear communication and stakeholder management skills
• Organized approach to managing multiple samples and timelines
• Awareness of cost implications and production feasibility.
