Job Overview:

The Leasing Manager will act as the central liaison between internal teams, tenants, brokers, consultants, and statutory authorities to manage end-to-end retail leasing operations. The role involves driving leasing from prospecting to closure, ensuring strong brand onboarding, smooth coordination, and optimal commercial outcomes.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Act as a facilitator for all leasing activities from inception/prospecting to closure, including:
  • Site visits
  • Commercial negotiations
  • Documentation and agreements
  • Coordination and administrative support
  • Serve as a liaison between:
  • In-house teams
  • Tenants and prospective brands
  • Leasing brokers and IPCs
  • Outside legal counsel
  • Architects, consultants, and municipal authorities
  • Manage and direct day-to-day operations of the leasing department in line with organizational policies and standards.
  • Review, negotiate, and finalize lease transactions and commercial agreements.
  • Oversee completion of all leasing documentation and ensure a high standard of stakeholder and customer service.
  • Ensure productivity, efficiency, and budgetary performance of the leasing operations team.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve operational efficiency and department profitability.
  • Monitor market and competitor trends to stay aligned with retail and leasing dynamics.
  • Maintain strong networking relationships with IPCs and leading retail leasing brokers.
  • Lead direct marketing and sales outreach to national and regional retail brands and corporate occupiers.

Qualifications:

  • Education: PGDM / MBA
  • Professional Certification: Retail Leasing certification (preferred, not mandatory)
  • Experience: Minimum 3+ years in retail leasing / commercial real estate
