What You'll Do

Learning Program Lead will be reporting to Manager L&D and play a critical role. You'll drive enterprise-level learning strategies that align with business priorities across key pillars such as Customer Experience, Employee Experience, Automation, and Global Scalability. You'll work closely with senior leaders and global customer support teams to influence talent outcomes, lead high-impact programs, and ensure measurable success across global learning initiatives. This is a high-visibility, high-impact role designed for someone who thrives at the intersection of strategic learning, business transformation, and AI-enabled enablement.

What Your Responsibilities Will Be

  • You will lead and manage global learning programs aligned to Avalara's strategic priorities, ensuring they drive measurable business outcomes.
  • You will partner with senior stakeholders and global customer support leaders to assess capability needs and design scalable, fit-for-purpose learning solutions.
  • You will leverage data, learning technologies, and AI-enabled tools to inform needs analysis, personalize learning experiences, and support ongoing performance improvement.
  • Working with vendors and internal teams, you will guide modern learning approaches while minimizing hands-on instructional design.
  • You will also drive measurements, continuous improvement, and reporting on learning effectiveness across business units to ensure sustained impact at scale.

What You'll Need To Be Successful

  • 814 years of experience in L&D, with proven expertise leading enterprise-wide learning programs.
  • Strong consulting background with the ability to assess needs, interpret data, and influence senior stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience partnering with global customer support teams to design learning solutions that elevate customer and agent experience.
  • Experience delivering strategic learning solutions in transformation programs or leadership development environments.
  • Working knowledge of instructional design frameworks, learning technologies, and latest AI capabilities in L&D, with the ability to apply them responsibly and guide others.
  • Familiarity with AI-powered learning tools for content creation, personalization, performance support, or insights, and an understanding of how to balance automation with human judgment.
