Job Description

Leadership Trainer (Manager)

Function: Learning & Development

Location: Chennai

Reporting to: Head Learning & Development

Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Leadership Trainer who can design and deliver impactful learning experiences across leadership, professional development, and behavioral skills. The ideal candidate has a strong core L&D background, proven facilitation strengths, and the ability to engage audiences up to middle management. This role requires strong program design skills, confident delivery, and the ability to work with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

1. Facilitation & Delivery

  • Deliver leadership, managerial, professional development, and behavioral skills programs.
  • Facilitate sessions confidently for audiences up to middle management.
  • Manage group dynamics, difficult participants, and complex conversations with maturity.
  • Deliver in-person, virtual, and blended sessions with strong presence.

2. Program Design & Content Development

  • Design end-to-end learning modules, toolkits, facilitator guides, and journeys.
  • Create practical, easy-to-apply content that supports behavioral and leadership outcomes.
  • Customize learning solutions based on business needs.

3. Stakeholder Engagement

  • Partner with HRBPs and business managers to understand learning needs.
  • Manage external stakeholder relationshipsvendors, facilitators, content partners, and consultants.
  • Present program proposals and updates confidently to stakeholders.

4. Quality & Impact

  • Ensure all programs follow L&D processes, documentation standards, and delivery guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate MIS for participation, feedback, and follow-through.
  • Track program outcomes and drive continuous improvement.

5. Team Collaboration

  • Work with the wider L&D team on global, regional, and enterprise-wide programs.
  • Manage program timelines, communication, logistics, and participant experience.
  • Support cross-functional learning projects and organization-wide interventions.

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • 812 years of core Learning & Development experience with strong facilitation exposure.
  • Master's Degree in HR/Management/Psychology
  • Recognized L&D/facilitation/psychometric/coaching certification(s) would be an advantage.
  • Experience delivering learning for senior leaders or up to middle management.
  • Strong background in professional development, behavioral skills, and leadership readiness training.
  • Hands-on experience in designing leadership or managerial development programs.
  • Experience working with vendors, external facilitators, and content partners.
  • Strong communication skills and confident presentation presence.
