Learning Management System (LMS) / Moodle Support Officer

Reporting To: Director / IT Manager

Job Type: Full-time

Permanent Location: Whitefield, Bangalore India (Work from Office)

We are currently seeking a technically capable and proactive LMS / Moodle Support Officer based in Bangalore to provide remote support to our Australian campuses.

The Opportunity

The LMS / Moodle Support Officer will provide day-to-day technical and user support to academic and administrative staff across Australian campuses. This role focuses on maintaining Moodle LMS functionality, assisting staff with course setup, troubleshooting system issues, and ensuring smooth delivery of online learning systems.

This position requires working Australian business hours (10:00 AM – 6:00 PM AEST) to ensure real-time support to campus staff.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

•Provide daily technical support to academic and administrative staff using the Moodle LMS and integrated systems.

•Assist teaching staff in preparing modules for online and blended learning delivery.

•Develop and maintain Moodle/LMS user manuals, guides, and training documentation.

•Work closely with stakeholders across Australian campuses to deliver high-quality technical support.

•Take full ownership of allocated support tickets, ensuring prompt and professional resolution.

•Document technical issues, troubleshooting steps, and solutions in knowledge-based systems.

•Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve system bugs and technical issues from detection through to resolution.

•Support staff with Moodle-related queries, including course setup and system navigation.

•Perform LMS upgrades, plugin updates, and system enhancements where required.

•Maintain system security, including user access controls, backups, and data integrity.

•Set up user accounts and configure access permissions as required.

•Ensure confidentiality and security of all system data.

•Provide general IT-related support and assist with ad hoc technical tasks as required.

•Contribute to system improvements and digital learning initiatives across the organisation.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

•Proven experience working with Moodle LMS or similar Learning Management Systems.

•Strong troubleshooting and technical problem-solving skills.

•Experience supporting users remotely in an IT or LMS environment.

•Experience assisting with course setup and online learning module preparation.

•Ability to create user guides and technical documentation.

•Strong communication skills with the ability to support non-technical users.

•Experience managing support tickets and documenting technical issues.

•Understanding of system security, backups, and user access controls.

•High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.

•Ability to work independently while collaborating with remote teams.

•Qualification in Information Technology, Educational Technology, or related field (preferred).

•Experience working in an education or training organisation (highly desirable).
