We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated candidate to set up the implementation, management, and optimization of our Learning Management System (LMS) i.e., in Brightspace by D2L. for our online education platform. This role requires a deep understanding of LMS technologies, online education tools, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams in ensuring the effective delivery of educational content.
Key Responsibilities:
- LMS System Management:
- Oversee the day-to-day operation of the Brightspace Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring its availability, performance, and security.
- Manage user accounts, roles, permissions, and troubleshoot user access issues.
- Implement and maintain customizations to the LMS to meet the needs of the platform.
- System Integration & Optimization:
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate the LMS with other third-party systems (such as CRM, SIS, and content management tools).
- Continuously evaluate and optimize the LMS system performance, including load testing, database optimization, and improving system reliability.
- Technical Support & Troubleshooting:
- Provide technical support for LMS-related issues, working closely with internal teams (IT, content development, customer support) to resolve issues promptly.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system errors, ensuring minimal disruption to students and instructors.
- Implementation of New Features & Enhancements:
- Lead the planning, testing, and implementation of new features and functionality in the LMS.
- Monitor and maintain software updates, patches, and upgrades, ensuring the system remains up to date.
- Collaboration & Stakeholder Communication:
- Work closely with instructional designers, content developers, and faculty to ensure the LMS meets educational goals and standards.
- Act as a liaison between technical teams and educational teams to ensure alignment on system capabilities and functionality.
- Gather feedback from users and stakeholders to inform system improvements.
- Data Analytics & Reporting:
- Monitor and report on system usage and performance metrics, ensuring data is available for administrators, instructors, and students.
- Work with analytics teams to provide insights into learning outcomes, engagement, and system usage trends.
- Training & Documentation:
- Provide training and resources for faculty, administrators, and students on how to effectively use the LMS.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for system processes, guides, and best practices.
Desirable Skills:
- Proven experience with popular LMS platforms of at least 05 Years
- Strong understanding of SCORM, xAPI, LTI integrations, and other eLearning standards.
- Experience with SQL, database management, and cloud-based infrastructure is highly preferred.
Technical Skills:
- Proficient in web development technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP (or relevant programming languages based on the LMS).
- Familiarity with cloud environments and services like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Experience with data integration and APIs.
