Learning Experience Architect

The Learning Experience Architect is an expert instructional designer who leads the creation of high-quality learning solutions for our clients while guiding and mentoring a small team of instructional designers. You'll leverage Infopro's proprietary Intelligent Design Framework (IDF), cutting-edge technologies including Gen AI, and deep content expertise to design and develop impactful eLearning, blended learning, and performance support programs.

This is a hands-on role focused on execution excellence with opportunities to contribute to strategic learning initiatives.

What You'll Do Daily

No two days look the same. On any given day you might be:

• Designing a learning solution end-to-end: working out the right modalities, sequencing the content, and writing a storyboard or design blueprint the team can build from
• Sitting with an SME to pull out what they actually know, challenge what they think learners need, and turn the conversation into clear, actionable content
• Reviewing a storyboard or built module from a junior team member and giving them feedback specific enough to improve both the work and their thinking
• Getting on a call with a client stakeholder to scope a new project, clarify objectives, or walk them through a design recommendation
• Running a quick job-task analysis or gap review to make sure the solution you are designing targets the right performance problem
• Integrating AI tools into a design workflow to speed up content drafting, variation generation, or quality checks
• Tracking down a QA issue flagged by the team and deciding whether it needs a fix, a process change, or both

Education

Bachelor's or Master's degree, preferably in Instructional Design, Education, Organizational Development, or related field

Experience

10-14 years in instructional design and learning development

Instructional Design

Expert command of instructional design methodologies (ADDIE, Bloom's Taxonomy, contemporary adult learning principles); sets the standard for how frameworks are applied across the team and actively mentors others to build their design capability

Content Development

Expert ability to create storyboards, scripts, and complete learning content independently with high quality

Learning Experience Design

Proficient in crafting user-centered, engaging learning experiences that integrate learning principles with learner motivation

Performance Consulting & Needs Analysis

Proficient in conducting needs analysis and diagnosing performance gaps; able to consult with stakeholders to clarify business priorities and translate findings into a well-scoped learning brief

Learning Ecosystem Architecture

Proficient in designing multi-modal learning strategies and curriculum architectures that address organizational capability needs and align to business goals; able to recommend blended program structures and sequence learning experiences accordingly

Consulting & Advisory Services

Independent ability to partner with clients to scope projects, clarify objectives, and manage stakeholder expectations throughout the engagement; comfortable navigating ambiguity and translating client needs into actionable learning briefs

Strategic Leadership & Vision

Proficient in mentoring, coaching, and leading small cross-functional teams of designers; provides effective feedback, develops talent, and contributes to establishing working standards and review practices that raise the overall quality bar within the ID function

Technology

Proficient hands-on ability with Articulate Storyline or Rise; able to build functional eLearning modules independently

Working knowledge of LMS platforms and SCORM

Proficient with business tools such as SharePoint, Word / PowerPoint / Excel / Outlook / Teams

AI Integration

Proficient in using Gen AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, or similar) for learning design and content curation; able to apply AI-assisted workflows independently to accelerate content development and improve output quality

Quality Standards

Expert in quality assurance for learning development; defines QA frameworks and review protocols, and sets team-wide standards for design quality throughout the learning development lifecycle

Communication

Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to present ideas clearly to stakeholders and provide constructive feedback to team members

Project Execution

Working knowledge of project management practices; able to manage tasks and timelines with guidance and support from senior stakeholders, and escalate risks proactively

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with business simulations or scenario-based learning design
• Knowledge of visual design principles and multimedia production
• Working knowledge of learning analytics tools and reporting, with some experience interpreting data with guidance
• Experience in change management or performance consulting
• Advanced certifications in instructional design or learning technologies
• Prior experience in global consulting or client-facing roles
