Role Description
You will build the function from the ground up. Own the full learning lifecycle: onboarding, role-specific enablement, leadership development, and continuous learning culture. Partner directly with the Head of Operations to ensure L&D strategy is a core lever for scaling the team 5x in 24 months to 300+ employees. Design programs that work across functions clinical, customer success, and other teams Build frameworks that scale globally, starting with US context and adapting for the EU and other markets.
Responsibility
- Design and own the onboarding program for new hires across all functions as the team grows rapidly
- Build role-specific learning paths
- Identify skill gaps at both the individual and organisational levels and translate them into structured programs.
- Create a manager enablement track to support first-time and early-stage managers as the org adds new layers
- Develop cross-cultural and market-readiness training ahead of EU expansion
- Establish L&D metrics completion rates, time-to-productivity, retention correlation and report them to leadership
- Source, evaluate, and manage external L&D vendors, platforms, and content libraries where needed
- Collaborate with HR/People Ops on performance frameworks, career ladders, and development planning
- Champion a continuous learning culture build communities of practice, lunch-and-learns, and peer-learning initiatives
- Work closely with product to develop training on the product itself for internal and customer-facing staff
Qualifications
- 10+ years of L&D experience, with at least 3 years in a high-growth startup or scale-up environment
- Proven experience building L&D programs from scratch not just inheriting and running existing ones
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design, and blended learning formats
- Hands-on experience with LMS platforms and modern learning tools
- Ability to operate as both a strategic thinker and a hands-on executor - this role requires both
- Excellent stakeholder management; able to influence without authority across a fast-moving, cross-functional team
- Comfort with ambiguity and rapid change - priorities will shift and you'll need to adapt quickly
- Bonus: experience in healthtech, medtech, SaaS, or B2B enterprise products
- Bonus: familiarity with US or EU work culture, multilingual teams, or global expansion contexts
