About the job

We're currently looking for a Learning and Development Specialist to join our L and D team in Bengaluru. If you see yourself as someone who enjoys working in an impactful and collaborative international culture, and thrives in a creative and dynamic environment, this is the role for you!

In this role, you will be responsible for transferring knowledge about various software and hardware products of Yokogawa to customers, in house employees and interested individuals. You will be responsible for configuring, installing, maintaining, and upgrading various types of computer system softwares and hardware. Creating, maintaining and developing existing technical courses is an important part of the job, and we strongly encourage innovative ideas on how to improve our material and our ways of working. Your work will be flexible, and technical training will be delivered remotely or /and onsite at different Clients sites across the world in different time zones, depending on our clients needs. The goal is to improve learners technical skills and ensure they can apply knowledge in real-world situations. Finally, our team currently consists of ten members with a number of competencies, which you will come to strengthen with your own.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver classroom, virtual or online and customer site training sessions
  • Design and develop training materials (manuals, presentations, videos, e-learning modules)
  • Assess training needs by collaborating with teams or stakeholders
  • Evaluate trainee/participant performance and provide feedback
  • Update training content based on new technologies or system changes
  • Provide hands-on demonstrations and practical exercises
  • Support employees or clients in resolving technical issues during training
  • Maintain training records and reports as per the quality standards
  • Maintain the systems and hardware as per norms of the organization

Required Skills

  • Strong understanding of relevant technical tools or systems
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to simplify complex technical concepts
  • Instructional design and curriculum development skills
  • Problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
  • Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS)
  • Knowledge of Adult Learning Theories
  • Result oriented and Quality conscious.

Educational Qualifications

  • BE/ BTech/ ME/ MTech in Electronics and Communications, Instrumentation, Electrical or equivalent

Experience

  • 1 to 2 years of experience in Automation domain as service engineer or trainer or has necessary quality to train people. Strong intension to learn new technology
