Role Overview
We are looking for a seasoned Learning & Development professional with 810 years of experience to design, implement, and manage training programs that enhance workforce capability in the heavy equipment sector. The role requires expertise in technical training, safety compliance, leadership development, and aligning learning initiatives with organizational growth.
Key Responsibilities
Training Strategy & Planning
- Develop and execute L&D strategies aligned with business objectives and industry standards.
- Conduct training needs assessments across technical, operational, sales, and service teams.
- Create annual training calendars covering technical, safety, compliance, and leadership programs.
Program Design & Delivery
- Design and deliver training modules for equipment operation, preventive maintenance, and safety protocols.
- Implement blended learning approaches (classroom, on-the-job, e-learning, simulations, VR/AR).
- Partner with OEMs and external training providers for specialized certifications.
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure all training programs meet regulatory requirements (OSHA, ISO, local labor laws).
- Conduct mandatory safety drills, certifications, and refresher courses for operators and technicians.
- Maintain accurate training records for audits and inspections.
Leadership & Soft Skills Development
- Develop leadership pipelines through structured programs for supervisors and managers.
- Organize workshops on communication, conflict resolution, and customer service.
- Support succession planning and career development initiatives.
Performance Measurement
- Track training effectiveness using KPIs (productivity, reduced downtime, safety incidents).
- Collect feedback from participants and managers to continuously improve programs.
- Link training outcomes to employee performance and organizational growth.
Technology & Innovation
- Implement Learning Management Systems (LMS) for tracking and delivery.
- Explore advanced training technologies (VR/AR simulations for equipment handling).
- Stay updated on industry trends and integrate new learning methodologies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or Engineering.
- 810 years of experience in Learning & Development, preferably in heavy equipment/construction equipment industry.
- Strong knowledge of technical training, compliance, and safety standards.
- Experience with LMS platforms and modern training technologies.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Skills
- Exposure to global training standards and certifications.
- Experience in designing leadership development frameworks.
- Analytical mindset with ability to interpret training data and ROI.
