Learning and Development Manager

Location: Gudur, Andhra Pradesh

Experience: 8–12 Years

Qualification: Graduate / Postgraduate in HR, Learning & Development, Organizational Development, or a related field.

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Learning & Development Manager with strong exposure to the Iron & Steel industry to lead training and development initiatives for plant and corporate employees.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement annual Learning & Development and training plans based on business and competency requirements.
• Identify training needs through TNA, performance gaps, competency mapping, and discussions with department heads.
• Design and coordinate technical, behavioural, functional, safety, and leadership training programs.
• Manage training calendars, budgets, vendors, external trainers, and training logistics.
• Coordinate with plant and functional teams to ensure effective training execution.
• Measure training effectiveness and maintain training MIS, records, and reports.
• Develop and support competency development, career development, and leadership programs.
• Coordinate with internal/external trainers and industry experts.
• Ensure compliance with applicable training and skill-development requirements.
• Support new employee induction and plant-specific training programs.

Candidate Profile:

• 8–12 years of relevant experience in Learning & Development / Training, preferably in the Iron & Steel industry.
• Strong experience in technical and behavioural training within a manufacturing/plant environment.
• Exposure to competency mapping, TNA, training evaluation, and L&D frameworks.
• Strong stakeholder, vendor, and trainer management skills.
• Good communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and HR/LMS tools.
• Willingness to travel frequently across plants/locations is mandatory.
• Industry Experience: Experience in the manufacturing/industrial sector is mandatory and preferred, particularly in large-scale industrial construction projects.
