Location: Chennai

Desired Experience Range: 10 to 15 Years

Only Work from Office (No Hybrid, No Remote, No Work from Home)

Shift Timing: Should be comfortable with night (US) & Rotational Shifts

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Six Sigma Black Belt professional with deep expertise in payroll process improvement. The ideal candidate will lead and manage process improvement initiatives specifically within our payroll department, utilizing Lean Six Sigma methodologies to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process Improvement:
  • Lead Six Sigma projects aimed at streamlining payroll processes, reducing cycle times, and minimizing errors.
  • Apply DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control) methodology to identify and eliminate inefficiencies in payroll operations.
  • Develop and implement process documentation, SOPs, and training programs for payroll procedures.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting:
  • Collect and analyze payroll data to identify trends, root causes of issues, and areas for improvement.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to payroll accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
  • Report findings and progress to senior management, recommending actionable improvements.
  • Automation and Technology Integration:
  • Collaborate with IT and payroll teams to integrate automation tools and technologies that enhance payroll processing.
  • Evaluate and implement software solutions to improve data accuracy and reduce manual workload.
  • Compliance and Risk Management:
  • Ensure payroll processes comply with internal policies and external regulations, including tax laws and labor standards.
  • Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential compliance issues.
  • Training and Mentorship:
  • Provide training and mentorship to payroll team members on Six Sigma tools and techniques.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the payroll department.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in business administration, Finance, HR, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.

Certified Six Sigma Black Belt (CSSBB) or equivalent certification.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in process improvement with a focus on payroll operations.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Proficiency in data analysis and statistical tools (e.g., Minitab, Excel).

In-depth knowledge of payroll processes, systems, and regulations.

Preferred Skills:

Experience in payroll or HR-related industries.

Project management experience.

Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
