Job Description
We are seeking a Lead Workflow Automation Engineer to build and scale an internal automation platform centered on n8n. This role combines technical leadership with hands-on engineering across backend services, workflow orchestration, integrations, and frontend development. You will partner with engineering and business stakeholders to deliver scalable automation solutions that improve operational efficiency and support long-term platform adoption. Enterprise experience strongly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, scale, and maintain an internal workflow automation platform based on n8n
- Design and implement automated workflows that integrate internal systems, SaaS tools, and third-party services
- Develop and support backend services using Node.js and Python
- Contribute to frontend functionality and platform usability using React
- Design and maintain REST API integrations across multiple systems
- Work with PostgreSQL and MongoDB to support workflow and platform data needs
- Support containerized services and deployment patterns using Docker
- Partner with stakeholders, including teams in Japan, on platform onboarding, customization, and adoption
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure the platform delivers scalable, reliable automation solutions
Qualifications
Must-Have Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with Node.js and Python
- Experience building workflow automation solutions with n8n or comparable orchestration platforms
- React experience for frontend development
- Experience with PostgreSQL and MongoDB
- Strong REST API and systems integration experience
- Experience integrating internal systems, SaaS platforms, and third-party services
- Experience with Docker and containerized services
- Experience designing scalable backend and workflow automation architectures
- Strong cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder communication skills
