Latinum is looking for an experienced Senior UX Designer to lead the creation of intuitive, visually engaging, and user-centric experiences across our messaging platform (mobile iOS/Android and web).
You will collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and cross-functional teams to design seamless real-time communication experiences. This role offers the opportunity to shape the product's visual identity and usability for a platform that will be used by millions of users.
Key Responsibilities:
1. UX Strategy & Design Leadership
- Translate product requirements into user flows, wireframes, journey maps, and interactive prototypes.
- Conduct user research and usability testing to validate design concepts and improve product experiences.
- Identify usability issues and drive UX improvements using data, feedback, and best practices.
2. UI Design & Design Systems
- Design modern, intuitive interfaces for mobile and web applications aligned with brand guidelines.
- Build and maintain design systems, component libraries, and style guides.
- Ensure visual and interaction consistency across platforms (typography, colors, spacing, and motion).
3. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with product managers, engineers, and QA teams to deliver features from concept to launch.
- Provide clear design specifications, assets, and documentation for development teams.
- Participate in sprint planning, design reviews, and product discussions.
4. Design Tools & Handoff
- Create high-fidelity mockups and prototypes using tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or Framer.
- Deliver well-structured and annotated design files for efficient implementation.
- Collaborate with frontend developers to ensure pixel-perfect execution.
5. Continuous Product Improvement
- Collect feedback from users and stakeholders to continuously improve UI/UX.
- Stay updated on emerging design trends, tools, and best practices in UX and real-time communication products.
Required Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience in UI/UX design for digital products (mobile and web).
- Strong portfolio demonstrating user-centric design, workflows, and polished UI.
- Experience designing consumer-facing applications, ideally in messaging, communication, or social platforms.
- Proficiency in tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, or Adobe XD.
- Strong understanding of responsive design, accessibility standards, and mobile-first design principles.
- Familiarity with platform guidelines such as iOS Human Interface Guidelines and Material Design.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience designing real-time messaging or chat-based platforms.
- Understanding of chat UX elements such as notifications, reactions, message input behavior, and media sharing.
- Exposure to user research, A/B testing, and analytics-driven design improvements.
- Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to understand technical feasibility.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and design sprints.
