Lead User Experience Designer

Superfan is an edtech platform dedicated to promoting African languages and cultural heritage. Through a gamified, quiz-first approach, the platform challenges and educates users on African proverbs, traditions, rites of passage, festivals, folklore, and customs. Created for Africans and the diaspora, Superfan aims to bridge cultural gaps and deepen connections to African heritage. Users engage with rich, immersive experiences designed to make learning both fun and meaningful.

We are seeking a full-time Lead User Experience Designer to guide the design of intuitive and engaging user experiences for our platform. As part of this remote role, you will lead the UX design process by conducting user research, designing user flows, and creating prototypes to validate concepts. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will translate insights into innovative solutions that inspire engagement and enrich the platform. Your work will help shape the future of digital learning for African languages and culture.

• Strong expertise in User Experience (UX) design and Prototyping to create seamless and engaging user interfaces
• Proficiency in Design Thinking and conducting User Research to identify user needs and develop human-centric solutions
• Experience in Visual Design to create aesthetically pleasing and functional interfaces
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and communicate design concepts effectively
• Experience designing for diverse cultural contexts, particularly in edtech or learning platforms, is a plus
• Familiarity with gamification principles and their application in digital products is an advantage
• Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field preferred, or equivalent professional experience
