Job Description

Job Purpose:

  • In-charge of team looking after maintaining training records of crew and scheduling their classes (classroom rostering, instructor rostering, etc.). Oversee the meticulous maintenance of training records for Air India's crew members, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and internal standards.
  • Optimize Scheduling Efficiency. Streamline the scheduling process for crew training activities, including classroom sessions and instructor assignments, to maximize operational efficiency and resource utilization.
  • Facilitate Proactive Training Management. Proactively manage crew qualifications and training requirements by implementing systems for timely notifications and tracking of training expirations, licenses, and certifications.
  • Drive Data-Driven Insights. Generate comprehensive reports and analysis on training attendance, instructor performance, and simulator occupancy to support strategic decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives within the Planning & Analytics department.

Key Accountabilities

Meticulous Record Maintenance:

  • In-charge of team looking after maintaining training records of crew and scheduling their classes (classroom rostering, instructor rostering, etc.)
  • Oversee the recording and updating of crew training data to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Implement systems for timely notifications to crew scheduling regarding required training activities.
  • Monitor crew qualifications closely and issue timely notifications for expirations to maintain compliance.

Efficient Scheduling Management:

  • Develop streamlined processes for classroom and instructor scheduling to optimize training schedules.
  • Maximize resource utilization through effective coordination of training facilities and accommodations.
  • Proactively plan and coordinate training events, including external locations and crew per diems.

Proactive Training Oversight:

  • Implement systems for tracking and notifying crew members of upcoming training requirements and expirations.
  • Maintain accurate records of all training activities and conduct occasional audits for compliance assurance.
  • Identify areas for improvement in training processes and systems to drive efficiency gains.

Data-Driven Insights:

  • Generate detailed reports on training attendance, instructor performance, and resource occupancy.
  • Utilize data analysis techniques to identify trends and areas for improvement in training operations.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate data insights into actionable strategies for continuous improvement.
  • Any other additional responsibility could be assigned to the role holder from time to time as a standalone project or regular work. The same would be suitably represented in the Primary responsibilities and agreed between the incumbent, reporting officer and HR.
