Lead Test Engineer

The impact you will have in this role:

Test Engineer will be responsible for developing test plans and implementing those plans against the corresponding test procedures. They should be accountable for the development of automation scripts in java selenium and writing SQL queries.

What You'll Do :

• Maintain, prepare and implement test cases based on user stories; present results and supervise defects to closure.
• Prepare, maintain, and complete automated test scripts.
• Maintain traceability from business requirements through test cases to automated scripts.
• Review test cases / automation approach with customer to ensure comprehensive coverage and acquire feedback.
• Track test execution breakthroughs, report on issues and risks with the potential to affect project timelines
• Construct appropriate end-2-end business scenarios through the application of a broad understanding of business objectives and goals.
• Collaborate with delivery pipeline teams to drive adoption and resolve open issues.
• Identify dependencies for environmental and data requirements; handle and maintain environment and data.
• Provide mentorship to colleagues related to test coverage and test cases.
• Develop a detailed understanding of the product being delivered.
• Responsible for process compliance associated documentation.
• Aligns risk and control processes into day-to-day responsibilities to supervise and mitigate risk; calls out appropriately.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree and/or equivalent experience.

Talents Needed for Success:

• Minimum of 6+ years of related experience.
• Hands on experience in Selenium Java.
• Extensive experience with testing modern scripting language-based components.
• Experience in writing SQL queries.
• Experience with JIRA, Microfocus ALM, Bitbucket, Git, and Jenkins.
• Experience with front-end backend testing using Java and Selenium.
• Experienced in Agile/Waterfall, onsite/offshore work model and coordination.
• In depth knowledge of the software implementation lifecycle (specifically the testing model, methodology, and processes).
• Detailed understanding of smoke testing, black- box and both non-blackbox testing, as well as regression testing.
• Requires the ability to work well with both business clients and technical team independently, both individually and as part of a team.
• Preferably from Capital Market domain.
