India delivery center is one of our global delivery and capability hub. We bring together experts in AI, engineering, analysis, quality, and architecture to deliver product & process solutions, application run services, change and transformation initiatives, and centralized platform services across both on prem and Guidewire Cloud environments. Our teams operate from multiple global delivery centers, supporting Zurich's business units worldwide.

Role Title: Actuarial Platform Test Lead Function: Group Technology Operations (GTO) – Actuarial Solutions Location: Hyderabad

Own Zurich's global SAP strategy & relationship to enable cost-effective model to offer the Group functions and BUs. Operate and implement standard processes in SAP in alignment with our Business Partners.

Drive transformation and deliver services with full accountability from service and application design, delivery and operation, as well as financial responsibility, security and compliance aspects with a single point of entry to our business partners in Group functions or to the business units. Role Purpose:

The Actuarial Platform Test Lead is responsible for planning, coordinating, and leading end-to-end testing activities for actuarial and financial platforms. The role ensures high-quality, reliable, and audit-ready releases by orchestrating testing across IT, actuarial, and business stakeholders, while adopting an AI-first mindset to improve efficiency and insight.

Key Accountabilities:

Test Planning & Leadership:

  • Define and own test strategies and test plans for releases, enhancements, and BAU changes.
  • Lead and coordinate SIT, UAT, regression, and release validation activities across multiple teams.
  • Define test scope, entry/exit criteria, test goals, and acceptance thresholds.
  • Orchestrate testing across manual and automated streams, ensuring alignment and traceability.

Quality Assurance & Governance:

  • Act as the single point of accountability for test quality and release readiness.
  • Lead defect triage, root cause discussions, and prioritization with Product Owners and Engineering.
  • Ensure test evidence, results, and sign offs meet internal control, audit, and regulatory expectations.
  • Provide clear quality reporting and dashboards to stakeholders.

Actuarial & Data Focused Testing:

  • Coordinate validation of actuarial calculations, projections, benchmarks, and financial outputs.
  • Ensure data integrity across input data, calculations, output files, and reports.
  • Work closely with actuarial SMEs to translate business and regulatory requirements into effective test scenarios.

AI First & Continuous Improvement:

  • Apply an AI first way of thinking to testing activities, using AI tools to:
  • support test case design and refinement,
  • assist with test data preparation and analysis,
  • improve defect analysis and reporting.
  • Use AI as an assistant, applying professional judgement and validation before adoption.
  • Continuously improve testing processes, standards, and tooling.

Skills & Experience:

Required Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in testing or quality assurance roles for complex IT platforms.
  • Proven experience leading or coordinating end to end testing activities.
  • Experience working in data heavy, financial, actuarial, or risk systems is strongly preferred.

Technical & Automation Skills:

  • Experience working with test automation frameworks and data comparison testing.
  • Basic to intermediate coding experience (e.g. SQL, Python, or similar) to support test analysis, automation, or data validation.
  • Familiarity with modern data or cloud platforms is an advantage.

AI & Mindset:

  • Practical exposure to AI assisted tools (e.g. copilots, test accelerators) is an advantage.
  • Demonstrates curiosity, learning mindset, and openness to adopting new ways of working.

Professional Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Clear and confident communication with technical and non technical stakeholders.
  • Structured, detail oriented, and accountable approach to quality.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
