Role Summary

We are seeking a Technical Product Engineer at the Senior level to join our dynamic product engineering team. This role is pivotal in bridging technical depth with strategic product thinking to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions in the airline domain. You will own and drive the technical roadmap, collaborate across functions, and ensure delivery excellence with a focus on continuous improvement and customer-centricity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Product Vision & Technical Strategy
  • Translate product vision into actionable technical initiatives and milestones.
  • Align a technical roadmap with business goals and broader product strategy.
  • Serve as a key contributor in shaping architectural and design decisions.
  • Ensure that the work is strategically aligned to portfolio mission and engage with other TPE's to align and manage dependencies within portfolio and across portfolios
  • Agile Product Ownership
  • Actively participate in all Agile ceremonies: planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Create, prioritize, sequence, and maintain the product backlog
  • Lead backlog grooming and ensure stories are well-defined and ready for sprint cycles.
  • Balance delivery between new features, technical debt resolution, and maintenance.
  • Technical Backlog & Story Management
  • Prioritize and manage backlog focusing on infrastructure, architecture, and enablers.
  • Assist with the elaboration of Features into user stories that are detailed enough to be achieved in every sprint
  • Write and refine user stories with clear acceptance criteria and business context.
  • Ensure continuous grooming and planning readiness for upcoming sprints.
  • Bug Triage & Issue Management
  • Lead bug triaging with QA and engineering to evaluate severity and root cause.
  • Drive prioritization of fixes based on business impact and urgency.
  • Oversee resolution of production issues and maintain clear communication with stakeholders.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Act as the bridge between product, engineering, QA, architecture, and business teams.
  • Gather and articulate technical requirements aligned with business needs.
  • Build alignment and clarity across all involved teams.
  • Technical Oversight & Quality
  • Contribute to architectural design, API standards, integration frameworks, and non functional requirements (security, performance, scalability).
  • Ensure technical feasibility and delivery integrity of proposed solutions.
  • Monitor sprint execution and mitigate blockers with the team.
  • KPIs, Delivery, and Continuous Improvement
  • Track and analyze Engineering KPIs, release velocity, defect density, and system health.
  • Drive retrospectives and process enhancements.
  • Champion innovation and engineering excellence within the team.

What You Need To Succeed (Minimum Qualifications)

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 7–10 years of experience in software product development, with at least 2 years in a technical product/engineering role.
  • Strong understanding of Agile development practices, CI/CD, and DevOps pipelines

What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Proven experience in managing technical backlogs, writing user stories, API testing and stakeholder engagement.
  • Prior exposure to airline, travel, or transportation systems is a strong plus.
  • Technical proficiency across backend, frontend, APIs, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), and monitoring tools.
