ABOUT THE ROLE
The Lead Technical Architect will play a strategic role in designing and modernizing telecom provisioning platforms and enterprise applications. The role demands expertise in modern C++ technologies, database integration, concurrent programming, application performance optimization, and telecom business processes. The candidate will be responsible for translating complex telecom requirements into scalable and maintainable software solutions while ensuring engineering excellence, security, and operational efficiency.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Architect, design, and develop enterprise-grade telecom provisioning applications using Modern C++.
- Lead technical design discussions and define application architecture, design principles, and development standards.
- Translate complex telecom business requirements into scalable and maintainable software solutions.
- Design and implement modular, extensible, and high-performance enterprise applications.
- Drive modernization and refactoring initiatives for legacy C++ applications.
- Design solutions supporting Telecom Provisioning, Service Activation, Circuit Management, and PON technologies.
- Integrate enterprise applications with Oracle and DB2 databases while ensuring optimal performance and scalability.
- Design and implement multi-threaded, concurrent, and asynchronous applications.
- Develop solutions requiring IPC, Message Queues, Socket Programming, and REST API integrations.
- Establish coding standards, architecture governance, and development best practices.
- Lead code reviews, technical mentoring, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
- Define and implement logging frameworks, configuration management, audit trails, rollback mechanisms, and error-handling strategies.
- Drive performance tuning, troubleshooting, profiling, and optimization initiatives.
- Ensure secure coding practices and compliance with application security standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including business, operations, QA, DevOps, and architecture groups.
- Participate in project planning, sprint reviews, backlog grooming, and Agile ceremonies.
- Support CI/CD initiatives and deployment automation.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics & Communication, Engineering, or a related field.
- 10–15+ years of experience in software engineering and enterprise application development.
- Minimum 10+ years of hands-on experience in C++ application development.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience leading technical teams and architecture initiatives.
- Proven experience in telecom provisioning systems and enterprise-scale application architectures.
- Experience designing and delivering mission-critical telecom software solutions.
- Strong analytical, architectural, and stakeholder management capabilities.
