About the Role
We are looking for a Lead Technical Architect - ServiceNow to drive the architecture and delivery of a multi-year Enterprise Architecture program.
This role connects business strategy with technology execution by:
- Defining ServiceNow architecture
- Driving CSDM adoption
- Governing ITSM, ITOM, HR, HRSD, GRC, and Asset Management capabilities
- Aligning business and IT stakeholders
You will be the senior technical authority for the ServiceNow platform, guiding teams toward scalable and sustainable outcomes.

Job Responsibilities:
Architecture & Strategy
- Own overall ServiceNow architecture, including platform design and roadmap
- Define integration patterns and governance models
- Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture strategy across IT, HR, and GRC domains
Data & Service Modeling
- Drive CSDM adoption and service modeling standards
- Define application and service portfolio structure
- Lead CMDB strategy including data quality, compliance alignment, and lifecycle management
Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC)
- Architect and govern GRC capabilities including risk management, policy and compliance tracking, and audit workflows
- Ensure platform supports regulatory requirements and internal controls
- Align GRC processes with enterprise governance and reporting frameworks
IT Service Management (ITSM)
- Define and govern ITSM processes (incident, problem, change, request, knowledge)
- Establish ITIL-aligned frameworks (CAB, ARB, SLA management, service ownership)
- Drive standardization and automation of IT service delivery
HR & HR Service Delivery (HRSD)
- Architect HR and HRSD workflows including onboarding, offboarding, employee lifecycle events, and case management
- Integrate ServiceNow with HR systems (HRIS, payroll, identity)
- Enable scalable, employee-centric service delivery across HR functions
Platform Capabilities
- Lead ITOM architecture (discovery, service mapping, event management)
- Design Hardware and Software Asset Management (HAM/SAM) programs
- Enable cross-functional workflows spanning IT, HR, and GRC
Integration & DevOps
- Define integration with Azure DevOps (ADO) and other enterprise systems
- Guide CI/CD standards and execution
Application & Risk Management
- Drive Application Portfolio Management (APM) maturity
- Implement technical debt prioritization framework
- Define disaster recovery (DR) readiness and risk mitigation architecture
Leadership & Stakeholder Management
- Act as escalation point for technical decisions
- Engage C-suite and senior stakeholders across IT, HR, and Risk/Compliance
- Mentor developers, analysts, and technical teams
Required Experience and Skills
- 8–12 years of IT experience, with 5+ years in ServiceNow architecture
- Experience leading enterprise-scale ServiceNow programs across ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, GRC, CMDB, HAM, and SAM
- Strong expertise in: CSDM and service modeling, ITIL / ITSM governance, GRC frameworks (risk, compliance, audit), CMDB design and data management & ITOM (discovery and service mapping)
- Experience integrating ServiceNow with enterprise systems (ADO, HRIS, identity, cloud)
- Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills
- ServiceNow certifications (CSA, CIS – ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, GRC, SAM, or APM)
- Certified Architecture Designer (or equivalent)
- TOGAF or similar enterprise architecture certification
- Experience in large transformation programs
- Familiarity with APM tools, technical debt frameworks, and compliance reporting
- Industry experience in energy, utilities, or regulated sectors
