About the Company
Growexx is seeking a Lead System Administrator to provide advanced technical assistance to our L2 support team and end users across Linux, Windows, and macOS environments. The ideal candidate will have strong Linux administration expertise, hands-on exposure to open-source tools such as Wazuh and Passbolt, and a solid understanding of both onpremises Active Directory (AD) and cloud-based identity services such as Azure AD.
About the Role
Responsibilities
- Advanced Technical Support
- Provide Tier3 support for escalations from the L2 support team.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues across Linux, Windows, and macOS platforms.
- Conduct detailed rootcause analysis and implement permanent fixes.
- Assist end users with advanced-level technical issues.
- Linux Systems Administration
- Administer, configure, and troubleshoot Linux servers and workstations (Ubuntu, CentOS, RHEL, etc.).
- Perform system security hardening, patch management, and performance optimization.
- Utilize shell scripting (Bash/Python) for automation and process improvement.
- Open-Source Tools & Applications
- Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot open-source tools such as:
- Wazuh SIEM
- Passbolt Password Manager
- Network monitoring tool PRTG
- Asset management tool- GLPi, Snipe-it, Manage engine
- Other infrastructure, monitoring, or security-related applications.
- Evaluate and recommend open-source solutions based on organizational needs.
- Active Directory & Cloud Identity Management
- Manage and troubleshoot Active Directory environments, including Group Policies and user lifecycle management.
- Support Azure AD / Cloud AD deployments and integrations (Jumpcloud, MS Intune, Scalefusion).
- Work with hybrid identity technologies (Azure AD Connect, SSO, Conditional Access).
- Infrastructure & Systems Operations
- Perform changes following ITIL change management principles.
- Assist with virtualization platforms such as EXsi.
- Support network troubleshooting (DNS, DHCP, VPN, firewall basics).
- Maintain and enhance documentation, SOPs, and knowledge base articles for L1/L2 teams.
- Collaboration
- Work closely with infrastructure, development, and cybersecurity teams.
- Contribute to audit readiness, compliance processes, and security improvements.
- Support Documentation/Policies-ISO 27001: Basic understanding.
Qualifications
- 710 years of experience in system administration or IT support roles.
- Bachelor's degree Engineering, IT, or a related field.
Required Skills
- Strong hands-on expertise in Linux administration.
- Team management experience in overseeing support teams, ensuring efficient issue resolution and service delivery.
- Proficiency in Windows and macOS support.
- Solid understanding of Active Directory, Group Policies, IAM concepts, and Azure AD.
- Experience with open-source applications such as Wazuh, Passbolt, Grafana, Zabbix, etc.
- O365 basic understanding/management.
- Working knowledge of scripting languages like Bash or Python.
- Familiarity with ITIL-based incident, problem, and change management.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with public cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP).
- Exposure to DevOps tools (Docker, Git, CI/CD pipelines).
- Basic understanding of cybersecurity and security best practices.
- Relevant certifications such as Linux+, RHCSA, Azure Administrator, or equivalent.
