Lead Storage and Backup Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Storage & Backup Engineer with deep expertise in Veeam Backup & Replication and experience across enterprise backup and storage platforms. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, managing, and optimizing backup and recovery solutions to ensure data integrity, availability, and disaster recovery readiness across on-prem and cloud environments.

Experience: 10-13 Years

Key Responsibilities

- Design, deploy, and manage Veeam Backup & Replication infrastructure

- Develop and maintain backup strategies, policies, and disaster recovery plans

- Monitor backups, troubleshoot failures, and ensure successful completion

- Conduct restore testing to validate recovery objectives (RTO/RPO)

- Integrate Veeam with storage platforms and cloud services

- Manage SAN/NAS environments

- Implement security best practices including immutability and encryption

- Automate backup processes using PowerShell

- Collaborate with infrastructure and security teams

- Maintain documentation and compliance records

Required Skills & Experience

- 8+ years in enterprise backup and storage

- Strong hands-on experience with Veeam Backup & Replication

- Experience with Veeam ONE, Cloud Connect, and Agents

- Experience with Commvault, NetBackup, Avamar, Rubrik, or Cohesity

- Knowledge of VMware/Hyper-V and storage systems

- Experience with AWS, Azure, or cloud backups

- Understanding of ransomware protection

- Scripting experience (PowerShell preferred)

Preferred Qualifications

- Veeam certification (VMCE preferred)

- Experience with Kubernetes backup tools

- Familiarity with Dell EMC, NetApp, HPE

- Hybrid/multi-cloud experience
