Job Overview

We are looking for a highly experienced Senior QA Automation Engineer with deep expertise in Cypress automation testing to join our growing engineering team.

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in building and maintaining scalable automation frameworks, testing complex web applications, and driving quality across fast-paced development environments.

This role requires a highly independent professional who can take ownership of automation strategy, framework optimization, and end-to-end test execution while collaborating closely with development and product teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks using Cypress
• Create and execute automated test cases for:

1. Functional testing
2. Regression testing
3. Integration testing
4. End-to-end testing

• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA teams to understand business requirements and technical workflows
• Identify automation opportunities and improve overall test coverage
• Perform API testing and validate backend integrations
• Debug issues, analyze failures, and ensure faster defect resolution
• Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines for continuous testing
• Ensure scalability, reliability, and maintainability of automation frameworks
• Mentor junior QA team members and contribute to best testing practices
• Participate in sprint planning, release validation, and production quality assurance

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in QA Automation / Software Testing
• Strong hands-on expertise in Cypress (mandatory)
• Solid experience with:

1. JavaScript / TypeScript
2. API testing
3. UI automation
4. Test framework design

• Strong understanding of:

1. Test architecture
2. Automation best practices
3. Cross-browser testing
4. Web application workflows

• Experience in creating reusable automation utilities and reporting mechanisms
• Excellent debugging and analytical skills
• Strong communication and stakeholder coordination abilities

Good to Have

• Exposure to performance or load testing tools
• Experience testing enterprise or SaaS-based applications
• Knowledge of cloud testing platforms like BrowserStack or Sauce Labs
