- Source diverse types of scrap to support custom alloys, low-carbon aluminium, or other differentiated products based on customer needs.
- Drive initiatives in the region to promote Hindalco in sustainable recycling and circular economy solutions.
- Lead supply of desired quality scrap from the region to downstream operations
- Ensure adherence to customer norms in scrap sourcing (e.g. traceability, EPR, etc.)
- Managing disputes related to weighment, scrap quality, payments, etc. with the vendors

Systems / Process / People | - Leverage Hindalco systems, support in development of digital tools and drive implementation in scrap sourcing and yard operations in the region
- Optimize scrap sourcing across yards, collection centre, customers and direct purchases from scrap dealers
- Support development and adherence to standardized operating procedures (SOPs) for scrap procurement, quality inspection, and logistics coordination.
- Develop dashboards and reports to track KPIs such as cost per ton, scrap mix ratio, and vendor contribution.
- Timely review and update KPI and critical performance parameters for the region
- Develop new systems and share know-how with other regions to build a continuous improvement culture
- Team building, develop capabilities in negotiation and scrap vendor mapping and mentoring
