Lead Software Engineer

'Role Summary

As an AI Engineer, you will help build the platform's ingestion, indexing, retrieval, and orchestration

capabilities, while also contributing to the Azure DevOps CI/CD setup. This is a hands-on engineering role

that works across both the pull-based ingestion pipeline and the real-time search and retrieval

experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain the ingestion pipeline, including Azure Data Factory pipelines, Blob
  
  

landing zones, PII redaction, language and entity tagging through Azure AI Language, and embedding

generation through Azure AI Foundry.

• Develop and refine Azure AI Search indexes, including the structured and scored Doctors Index and
  
  

the vector, semantic, and keyword-based Content Index.

• Implement the Query Orchestrator using Azure Functions or Foundry Agent Service, covering
  
  

language detection, intent classification, and Prompt Shields.

• Build deterministic doctor-ranking logic and the semantic/RAG content-retrieval flow, including
  
  

grounded AI-generated summaries.

• Add Azure AI Content Safety checks and integrate session state with Cosmos DB or Redis.
• Support the Admin Tool built on Azure App Service, Functions, and Entra ID, which enables
  
  

configuration-driven governance for medical logic, call-centre information, blocklists, disclaimers,

and taxonomy.

• Contribute to the Azure DevOps CI/CD workstream, including Bicep infrastructure-as-code, pipeline
  
  

scripting, and AI guardrail regression testing.

• Write unit and integration tests, support UAT activities, and help triage defects.
• Take part in code reviews and technical design discussions with the Tech Lead and AI Architect.
