Scope
- Takes full ownership of backend services from design through production operation and user support.
- Drives a strong DevOps and operational mindset, ensuring services are reliable, observable, secure, and cost-effective.
- Balances feature delivery with service stability, maintainability, and long-term quality.
- Understands the impact of owned services on dependent teams, platforms, and end users.
What You'll Do
- Design, build, deploy, and operate production backend services end to end.
- Own availability, performance, security, and operational health of services.
- Improve observability, automation, and resilience to reduce operational overhead.
- Respond to incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and implement long-term improvements.
- Engage with users and stakeholders, communicate clearly during incidents and changes, and incorporate feedback into service improvements.
What We Are Looking For
- 7 to 10 years of overall software engineering experience.
- Senior or lead software engineer with strong backend ownership mindset.
- Strong NestJS and TypeScript backend experience, with emphasis on clean, maintainable code.
- Solid understanding of MongoDB fundamentals, including data modeling and query optimization.
- Strong focus on clean code, testing practices, and code quality standards.
- Demonstrated ownership of production systems, including reliability and operational responsibility.
- Hands-on experience delivering and supporting backend services in production environments.
- Nice to have experience with Azure cloud services, including Logic Apps and CI/CD pipelines.
- Exposure to observability, monitoring, and reliability practices for backend systems.
