Job Title:Lead Software Engineer, SRE, Order Management Systems

Business Unit:WSI Corporate Technology, Pune

Overview of the Role

The Lead Software Engineer, SRE Order Management Systems is responsible for ensuring the availability, performance, scalability, and reliability of mission-critical Order Management platforms. This role blends deep technical expertise with Site Reliability Engineering principles to support and enhance IBM Sterling OMS, microservices-based architectures, and complex supply chain integrations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure high availability and reliability of critical systems including Order Management Systems (OMS), Drop Ship, microservices, and supply chain integrations.
  • Provide technical guidance on IBM Sterling Order Management solutions and new order fulfillment features.
  • Collaborate with Care Center associates to improve order capture, management, and tracking processes.
  • Design solutions using AngularJS and backend microservices technologies.
  • Reduce technical debt through SQL tuning, code reviews, and configuration optimization.
  • Develop observability using OpenSearch, AppDynamics, Grafana, Prometheus, and New Relic.
  • Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and preventive actions.
  • Define SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets aligned to business goals.
  • Mentor engineers and build subject matter expertise.
