Job Title:Lead Software Engineer, SRE, Order Management Systems

Overview of the Role
The Lead Software Engineer, SRE Order Management Systems is responsible for ensuring the availability, performance, scalability, and reliability of mission-critical Order Management platforms. This role blends deep technical expertise with Site Reliability Engineering principles to support and enhance IBM Sterling OMS, microservices-based architectures, and complex supply chain integrations.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure high availability and reliability of critical systems including Order Management Systems (OMS), Drop Ship, microservices, and supply chain integrations.
- Provide technical guidance on IBM Sterling Order Management solutions and new order fulfillment features.
- Collaborate with Care Center associates to improve order capture, management, and tracking processes.
- Design solutions using AngularJS and backend microservices technologies.
- Reduce technical debt through SQL tuning, code reviews, and configuration optimization.
- Develop observability using OpenSearch, AppDynamics, Grafana, Prometheus, and New Relic.
- Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and preventive actions.
- Define SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets aligned to business goals.
- Mentor engineers and build subject matter expertise.
