Position Summary
We are looking for a highly capable Software Engineer with 6 to 8 years of experience who can bridge the gap between business and technology.
The ideal candidate should be able to work closely with founders to deeply understand the business vision, user pain point, and product goals. They will be responsible for translating business requirements into scalable technical solutions and ensuring successful execution by collaborating with the team from concept to delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Product & Business Understanding- Collaborate directly with founders and stakeholders to understand business objectives, customer pain points, and product requirements.
- Translate business needs into clear technical architecture, specifications, and development roadmaps.
- Participate in product discussions and contribute to technology driven solutions that enhance user experience.
Technical Leadership & Architecture- Design and manage scalable, secure, and reliable cloud infrastructure.
- Define system architecture, technology stack, integrations, and engineering best practices.
- Ensure high availability, performance, security, and scalability of the platform.
- Lead architectural decisions across backend systems, databases, APIs, cloud infrastructure, and deployment pipelines.
Project Planning & Execution- Break down product requirements into actionable tasks, milestones, and sprint plans.
- Define project scope, timelines, dependencies, and delivery schedules.
- Create and manage engineering roadmaps aligned with business priorities.
- Drive Agile development processes and ensure disciplined execution across sprints.
Team Leadership & Delivery Management- Understand the strengths and capabilities of team members and allocate work accordingly.
- Lead sprint planning, standups, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Monitor progress closely and ensure timely delivery without compromising quality.
- Proactively identify risks, bottlenecks, and dependencies and drive resolutions.
- Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Quality, Security & Reliability- Establish engineering standards, code review processes, testing frameworks, and deployment practices.
- Ensure product stability, reliability, maintainability, and performance.
- Drive security best practices across application development and infrastructure.
- Implement monitoring, logging, alerting and incident management processes to maintain platform reliability.
Technical Skills & Expertise- Strong backend development experience using Node.js, Python, and Microservices Architecture, including API design and third party integrations.
- Hands on experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Redis for building scalable and high-performance applications.
- Proven expertise in AWS/Azure/GCP, Docker, Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines for cloud native application development and deployment.
- Solid understanding of application security, including OAuth, JWT, encryption standards, secure API development, and PCI aligned best practices.
- Experience implementing monitoring, logging, alerting, and performance optimization to ensure platform reliability, scalability, and operational excellence.
Ideal Candidate Profile- 6 to 8 years of software engineering experience, preferably within fintech, wealthtech, banking, or other regulated industries.
- Proven experience leading engineering teams and managing end to end product delivery.
- Strong expertise in cloud native architecture, distributed systems, and scalable backend development.
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions and execution plans.
- Experience working directly with founders, product teams, designers, and business stakeholders.
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
