As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorganChase within the Employee Platforms team, you will be accountable for people leadership, delivery execution, and technical oversight for Oracle HCM Cloud Compensation & Benefits.
Job responsibilities
- Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
- Develops secure high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
- Identifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems
- Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architecture
- Leads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologies
- Adds to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
- 5+ years hands-on experience delivering Oracle HCM Cloud solutions with strong focus on Compensation & Benefits (e.g., Workforce Compensation, Individual Compensation, Salary, Total Rewards/Statements as applicable) and 2+ years leading engineers and/or projects.
- Demonstrated experience guiding teams through Oracle Redwood implementations and building extensions with Oracle Visual Builder Studio (VBS).
- Solid command of HCM extension and integration approaches: HCM REST APIs, HDL/HSDL, HCM Extracts understanding of SaaS/PaaS architectures.
- Proven track record of reducing production defects through preventive design, robust testing strategies, and disciplined release practices.
- Experience planning and executing quarterly Oracle release cycles, including impact analysis and regression planning.
- Strong communication, prioritization, and stakeholder management skills comfortable leading in large, cross-functional environments agile mindset
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Exposure to adjacent HCM modules (e.g., Core HR, Payroll, Absence, Talent, Recruiting/ORC) and Oracle Digital Assistant.
- Familiarity with Fast Formulas and enterprise integration platforms strong fundamentals in JavaScript/TypeScript and SQL are a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Technology (BTech) or equivalent practical experience.
