Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership for mainframe modernization efforts including WDI, TPMS, RMS dependencies, JCL updates, and ECHO connectivity
- Lead design, planning, and execution of mainframe modernization initiatives
- Guide the team in implementing best practices for development, integration, and migration on mainframe systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify process improvements and resolve technical challenges
- Oversee code reviews to ensure quality and adherence to standards
- Maintain technical documentation for mainframe deliverables
- Ensure quality assurance processes are followed throughout mainframe modernization lifecycle
- Drive alignment of modernization projects with business objectives and technology standards
- Mentor and support team members to enhance technical capabilities
- Coordinate with stakeholders to manage project scope and timelines
Requirements
- Extensive experience of 8-12 years in mainframe technologies
- Expertise in PL/I, JCL, and DB2
- Strong leadership skills with experience guiding technical teams
- Proven experience leading modernization or migration projects on mainframe platforms
- In-depth knowledge of mainframe development, integration, and migration best practices
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- English language proficiency at B2 (Upper-Intermediate) level
