Responsibilities
- Engineer enterprise-grade applications using Java and Spring Boot
- Define and implement microservices architectures deployed on cloud platforms
- Implement RESTful APIs and integrate them with frontend applications
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, maintainable solutions
- Run code reviews and coach team members on technical best practices
- Influence architectural decisions to ensure quality, security, reliability, and compliance standards are met
- Use Agile and DevOps best practices across the software development lifecycle
- Maintain CI/CD pipelines and support continuous delivery execution
- Resolve complex technical issues across the application stack through troubleshooting
- Deploy and manage services using containerization and orchestration tools
Requirements
- Demonstrated 5+ years of hands-on experience designing and building with Java 21, Quarkus, and Java/JEE
- Deep expertise in Spring Boot, Spring Security, and JUnit testing
- Strong database experience with Oracle, Sybase, and PL/SQL
- Solid background in microservices architecture plus Azure Cloud and Serverless approaches
- Excellent understanding of Kubernetes primitives such as pods, containers, services, and Istio
- Hands-on experience working with Docker and Redis
- Proficiency in designing RESTful APIs and integrating backend services with frontend
- Familiarity with Git/GitLab CI/CD pipelines and Agile methodologies
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field
Nice to have
- Understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and React (including Hooks)
- Familiarity with JavaScript and TypeScript
- Experience with performance tuning and DevOps
- Ability to implement UX designs into responsive, scalable, maintainable UI solutions using standards and patterns
