Responsibilities
- Collaborate with our design and product teams to implement and iterate on features for Sense
- Break down complex problems into solvable pieces of work for other Engineers
- Meaningfully contribute to the product by suggesting improvements and thinking through features with the whole team
- Document and educate the rest of the team on front-end best practices
- Contribute to the ongoing development and upkeep of our design system
- Provide product ownership and mentor a team of talented Frontend Engineers
- Build and maintain crisp, consistent interfaces for our customers
- Lead code reviews, pairing sessions, and architecture discussions
- Responsibility for several large-scale ReactJS web applications
- Work closely with our cross-functional teams consisting of designers, product managers, and QA in an agile, fast-paced environment
- Implement and maintain features such as Chat interfaces and data visualisation
- Participate in code reviews and architecture discussions
- Participate in interviews and hiring as we staff up our team
Skills and Expertise
- Demonstrated ownership of the product and mentoring of other Frontend Engineers
- Expert proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. Proficiency in React AND/OR equivalent modern UI framework.
- Experience with modern JavaScript libraries, syntax, and tools
- Familiarity with a server-side web framework
- A strong product design sense and ability to build products from scratch
- Hands-on experience with design systems, a demonstrated interest and desire to build beautiful and performant front-end experiences
- 6 to 8 years of professional JavaScript development experience
- Once experience developing websites consuming various APIs from a microservice backend
- Experience writing testable code and maintaining test infrastructure
- Exceptional coding, debugging, and architecting skills, with an eye for maintainability, reliability, and performance
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with TypeScript
Experience with WebSocket
Experience with Canvas, SVG, or animation
Experience in a high-growth startup environment
