The Impact You Will Have in This Role

As a member of the Development team, you will contribute to the design, development, deployment, and support of DTCC's software applications. Your work may include research, new feature development, prototyping, re-engineering, and maintaining internal and external systems.

You'll bring in-depth technical expertise in current and emerging development methodologies, tools, and languages. This role involves working closely with business partners, architects, product managers, and project stakeholders to create innovative solutions that solve complex business problems.

Primary Responsibilities

• Serve as a technical expert on one or more DTCC applications
• Collaborate with Business System Analysts to ensure designs meet functional requirements
• Partner with Infrastructure teams to implement efficient hosting environments
• Tune application performance and proactively resolve performance issues
• Research and evaluate technical solutions aligned with DTCC technology standards
• Integrate risk and control practices into daily work; escalate issues as needed
• Apply appropriate software development methodologies based on project scope
• Contribute to component design and participate in development and functional testing
• Support testing, troubleshooting, and production releases
• Build applications and write unit test cases to meet functional and non-functional requirements
• Promote best practices in continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD)

Talents Needed for Success

• 8+ years of experience with SQL and PL/SQL
• Skilled in designing and maintaining database structures, tables, views, and functions
• Proficient in writing complex SQL queries for data retrieval, transformation, and analysis
• Experience with RDBMS such as Snowflake, Oracle, and other cloud-based databases
• Strong AWS cloud experience
• Advanced proficiency in Snowflake
• Working knowledge of Unix/Linux OS; experience with shell scripting, Perl, and Python is a plus
• Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and DevOps tools (CI/CD, Jenkins)
• Strong analytical thinking and interpersonal communication skills
• Experience working with geographically distributed teams (onshore/offshore)
