Job Description

About the Role:

We're looking for a Tech Lead who can own technical direction while mentoring a team of engineers. You'll balance hands-on coding with architecture decisions, code reviews, and cross-functional collaboration with product and design.

Experience & Skills

- 5–7 years of software engineering experience, with proven ownership of significant systems end-to-end.

- Full-stack development is a must — end-to-end development experience including quality aspects like unit testing, e2e testing, performance and load testing.

- Expertise in AI-assisted coding, debugging, and reviewing, following spec-driven engineering practices.

- 2+ years in a tech lead / engineering manager capacity — leading a team of 3–8 engineers.

- Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and system design.

- Deep expertise in modern full-stack technologies — backend (Node.js/Java/Python), frontend (React/Angular), databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL), microservices architecture, and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).

- Experience owning architecture decisions and driving them through to production.

- Track record of mentoring engineers and improving team practices (code quality, CI/CD, testing).

- Comfortable working directly with product managers to translate requirements into technical plans.

- Strong business acumen — able to understand product goals, customer impact, and business tradeoffs, not just technical correctness; translates business priorities into technical decisions and vice versa.

- Lead technical design and execution for [team/product area].

- Drive best practices in code quality, testing, and deployment.

- Partner with product and design to shape roadmap and technical strategy.

- Partner with business/product stakeholders to understand customer and revenue impact, ensuring technical decisions align with business priorities.

- Mentor and grow a team of engineers.

- Be the escalation point for complex technical decisions.

Education Background :

- B.Tech/B.E. (or M.Tech) in Computer Science or related field from a top-tier institute — BITS Pilani, IITs, IIITs or NITs strongly preferred.
