About the Role

We are seeking a Lead Engineer to drive technical execution and lead engineers building secure, scalable FinTech platforms. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who combines deep technical expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and proven ability to leverage AI-powered tools to improve engineering outcomes. Exposure to LLMs is considered a strong advantage.

Responsibilities

Technical Leadership & Architecture

• Lead design and development of scalable, secure FinTech applications using the MEAN stack
• Own technical architecture, design reviews, and implementation quality
• Solve complex technical challenges using strong Data Structures & Algorithms fundamentals
• Ensure performance, reliability, security, and scalability across systems
• Set and enforce engineering best practices, coding standards, and design patterns

Team Leadership & Execution

• Act as technical lead for a squad or multiple engineers
• Mentor and guide engineers through design, implementation, and problem solving
• Conduct thorough code reviews and raise overall code quality
• Partner with Engineering Managers to drive delivery and technical execution
• Break down large initiatives into actionable technical tasks and milestones

AI & Developer Productivity

• Demonstrate hands-on usage of AI tools for coding, debugging, refactoring, testing, and documentation
• Encourage responsible and effective use of AI-assisted development workflows within the team
• Evaluate and experiment with emerging tools, including LLMs, for productivity or internal platforms

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with Product, Design, Compliance, and Risk teams
• Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions
• Balance short-term delivery needs with long-term technical health

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
• 6+ years of professional software development experience

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on expertise in:
• JavaScript / TypeScript
• Node.js & Express.js
• MongoDB
• Angular

Excellent understanding of:

• Data Structures & Algorithms
• System Design and Architecture
• Demonstrated experience using AI tools in real engineering workflows
• Strong debugging, performance optimization, and problem-solving skills
• Experience with Git, peer reviews, and agile development practices
• Ability to technically influence without formal people-management authority

Preferred Skills

• Prior experience in FinTech (payments, banking, lending, risk, compliance, KYC)
• Exposure to Large Language Models (LLMs) for:
• Engineering productivity
• Internal tools
• Prototyping AI-enabled features
• Experience with microservices architecture
• Cloud experience (AWS / Azure / GCP)
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and DevOps practices
• Experience working on regulated or high-availability systems
