PURPOSE OF ROLE:

We are hiring Lead Salesforce Marketing Cloud Engineer with deep expertise in Marketing Cloud Engagement transactional development, SMS, Mobile Push, and Marketing Cloud Personalization (MCP). This role sits within a global engineering pod and works closely with the Global Technical Lead, Senior SFMC Engineer, and Sr. Manager of MarTech to deliver scalable, real-time, and event-driven communications.

You will lead hands-on development of cross-channel and transactional solutions while contributing to platform architecture, engineering standards, and next-generation capabilities across Data Cloud, Marketing Cloud Next, and Agent force.

Reporting Structure - You will report directly to a manager employed by Under Armour Global Services Pvt. Ltd. in India.

YOUR IMPACT (Job Responsibilities):

• Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of scalable cross-channel customer engagement solutions across Email, SMS, Mobile Push, and emerging digital channels using Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
• Own the end-to-end delivery of transactional and event-driven messaging frameworks, including API-triggered communications, real-time journeys, and high-volume messaging pipelines.
• Drive the strategy, design, and optimization of customer lifecycle and personalization programs leveraging Journey Builder, Mobile Studio, Marketing Cloud Personalization (MCP), and Salesforce Data Cloud.
• Architect and implement real-time personalization capabilities, including behavioral tracking, catalog integrations, experimentation frameworks, targeting strategies, and decisioning across web and mobile experiences.
• Establish scalable data models, audience segmentation frameworks, automation patterns, and customer identity strategies that enable advanced marketing use cases and audience activation.
• Lead integration efforts with enterprise platforms, APIs, customer data ecosystems, and event-streaming architectures to support real-time data ingestion and customer engagement.
• Partner with business stakeholders, product owners, architects, and engineering teams to translate marketing requirements into scalable, maintainable technical solutions.
• Provide technical leadership and governance for SFMC development standards, including AMP script, SSJS, SQL, Automation Studio, and reusable framework design.
• Drive adoption of Salesforce Data Cloud capabilities, including unified customer profiles, identity resolution, audience segmentation, and omnichannel activation strategies.
• Ensure platform reliability, performance, scalability, and operational excellence, particularly during peak retail events, major campaigns, and high-volume transaction periods.
• Lead complex troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives across campaign execution, personalization logic, integrations, and data pipelines.
• Mentor and guide engineers through solution design, code reviews, QA processes, release management, and engineering best practices while ensuring compliance with global privacy and messaging regulations, including GDPR, CCPA, and TCPA.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree with typically 8 years of relevant experience OR Master's degree with typically 6 years of relevant experience OR typically 12 years of relevant work experience without degree
• 5+ years of hands-on Salesforce Marketing Cloud experience
• Proven expertise in transactional messaging, triggered sends, and event-driven architectures
• Strong experience with SMS and Mobile Push (Mobile Studio)
• Hands-on experience with Marketing Cloud Personalization (MCP / Interaction Studio)
• Strong development skills in AMP script, SQL, and SSJS
• Experience with APIs, JSON payloads, and system integrations
• Strong understanding of data models, segmentation, and identity resolution concepts
• Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions
• Experience working in Agile teams and contributing to global delivery models
• Preferred: Salesforce certifications: Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer, Salesforce Marketing Cloud Email Specialist, Salesforce Marketing Cloud Consultant

WORKPLACE LOCATION:

• Location: This individual must reside within commuting distance from our office.
• Work Schedule: This role follows a hybrid work schedule, requiring 4 days in-office per week
